Aunt Lucy, New Mexico, Baja Bill’s Burritos, ______________, _____________ You may also have collective and abstract nouns; these are all considered common. 1. Collective nouns are used to describe groups of specific animals, people, or things. Collectively, the group is referred to as a singular unit. EX. The flock flies south. (Flock referring to a group of birds) 2. Abstract nouns describe ideas that can not be perceived by the five senses. EX. happiness, inability, gumpiness, _________, _________
