1 Caster - engineers in the front seat
Safety Check-Course In this slideshow you will take part of how a safety check is preformed correctly Caster - engineers in the front seat

2 The list to perform a Safety Check
The safety check is divided into five parts, every part has to be approved in order for the safety check to be completed. Five parts includes a check of the pit area and upper platform which is around the simulator. Two parts include the start up and safety check which is to be made on the computer. And the last driving check is made with a driver in the drivers seat. Let´s begin! Caster - engineers in the front seat

Pit area Caster - engineers in the front seat

4 1. Inspect ground attachment bolts
Caster - engineers in the front seat

5 Caster - engineers in the front seat
Make sure that the white spot on the pawn is near the white spot on the ground everywhere around the ground and on all three of the attatchments. Caster - engineers in the front seat

6 2. Inspect actuator fixation (top & bottom)

7 Caster - engineers in the front seat
Same as previous, make sure that the white spots on the bolt is near the white spot on the plate everywhere. Caster - engineers in the front seat

8 3. Inspect wiring & connectors of all actuators
Caster - engineers in the front seat

9 Caster - engineers in the front seat
Check if the wiring and connectors are attached and not moving except around its attachment. Caster - engineers in the front seat

10 4. Inspect computer cabinet
Make sure they are in the right position Caster - engineers in the front seat

11 5. Inspect stands and its fixation

12 6. Inspect access bridge and its fixation
If the bridge is up, it should look like this. If the bridge is down, there is no ”Bridge” on the screen. Caster - engineers in the front seat

13 6. Inspect pedalbox wiring & connectors 7. Inspect pedalbox fixation
See if the pedals are stuck and the wiring and connectors are attached. Caster - engineers in the front seat

14 Caster - engineers in the front seat
8. Check brake system for oil leaks 9. Inspect brake pedal travel & balace Caster - engineers in the front seat

15 10. Inspect throttle pedal endstops 11. Inspect clutch pedal endstops
Caster - engineers in the front seat

16 12. Inspect screen attachements
Make sure the screens are still attached – not moving. Caster - engineers in the front seat

17 Caster - engineers in the front seat
Upper platform Caster - engineers in the front seat

18 Caster - engineers in the front seat
1. Inspect general condition of seat and fixation 2. Inspect seatbelt and attachment functioning Check if the seat looks ok. Check if the seatbelt works. Caster - engineers in the front seat

19 3. Inspect subwoofer underneeth the seat
Caster - engineers in the front seat

20 4. Inspect seating position adjuster
Check the position adjuster Caster - engineers in the front seat

21 Caster - engineers in the front seat
5. Inspect steering wheel & control loader attachment 6. Inspect general condition of H-pattern shifter 7. Inspect fixation of H-pattern to upperplatform 8. Clean upper platform 5. Check shifter flappy paddle Then check if the red light is on when you push the flappy paddle. H-pattern shifter Caster - engineers in the front seat

Start up Caster - engineers in the front seat

23 Caster - engineers in the front seat
1. Switch on motion system 2. Realese E-stop and press red reset button 3. Start operator computer Switch on motion system This is how it looks when the E-stop is realesed and the red button is pushed (not shining) Operator computer Caster - engineers in the front seat

24 4. Start Racer Management

25 Caster - engineers in the front seat
5. Start all computers Caster - engineers in the front seat

26 Caster - engineers in the front seat
6. Check if all computers have Racer running 7. Start a new heat and select demo (no driver) 1 If Racer is running then all the computers have the same background as the desk computer 2 Caster - engineers in the front seat

27 8. Inspect if motion is properly working
Motion is when the simulator moves while driving. It can be turned off so you can drive without movement. To inspect if it´s working someone have to sit in the drivers seat while you push this button, then a sign will say that the simulator cannot start. Caster - engineers in the front seat

28 Caster - engineers in the front seat
Safety check Caster - engineers in the front seat

29 Caster - engineers in the front seat
1. Start a race with driver 2. Check if seat interlock is OK 3. Check if simulator comes up OK 4. Check if race starts OK 5. Check if spectator view is OK 6. Test seat interlock & restart race 7. Test bridge interlock & restart race Caster - engineers in the front seat

30 Caster - engineers in the front seat
Driving check 1. Start a race with a driver 2. Test pedals 3. Test shifting 4. Test motion 5. Test steering 6. Check audio system (Do not forget to use the manuall H- pattern aswell) Caster - engineers in the front seat
