9 Definitions Desired outcomes necessary to fulfill the mission. They are positive, student-centered, and aspirational. Objectives are the various means to accomplish goals. They are specific, tactical, and descriptive. HOW – Specific tasks essential to carrying out the objectives. Written by administration.

10 Components of Goal Statement
Action verb Increase, explore, obtain develop, research , etc. TO Statement of nouns What you will impact WHAT What the outcome will accomplish SO THAT Create a safe and secure learning environment equipped to deliver 21st century programs.

Goal Area: Facilities and Finance/Safety and Security Goal Statement: Create a safe and secure learning environment equipped to deliver 21st century programs. Objectives: Upgrade facilities to be more energy and cost efficient Increase internal and external security at all schools Upgrade existing facilities to be more structurally modernized. .

12 Tonight’s Activity Review the outcomes from Meeting 1 & 2 -- (copies are at each table) Consider the goal areas and compiled initiatives that have emerged from the group work (white copies at each table) Select spokesperson to report out to larger group Brainstorm goal and objectives statements wording Reach consensus on goal statement wording and write up on large poster sheet Each small group will report out to the larger group on their consensus goal statement and objectives

Superintendent will develop action plans over the next few months Final strategic plan will be presented to the board in the upcoming months (TBD)
