Mark 3:28-30 (NLT) 28 “I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven, 29 but anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. This is a sin with eternal consequences.” 30 He told them this because they were saying, “He’s possessed by an evil spirit.”

The Holy Spirit will teach you what to say!
John 14:26 “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”

“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
Wait for the Holy Spirit!

Acts 1:1-9
Luke starts his second volume reminding us:
Jesus’ ministry had been done “through the Holy Spirit”
It was only the “beginning of doing and teaching”
Again, says to wait for “the gift my Father promised”
The mantle now goes to the church!

baptizo– means fully immersed, to overwhelm or enveloping one substance in another
Holy Spirit baptism is a subsequent experience which follows conversion that empowers the believer
Every Christian experiences a measure of the Holy Spirit’s power… but there is MORE!

8. The baptism of the Holy Spirit
Being filled with the Holy Spirit means that you:
experience His joy
experience victory over besetting sins
experience boldness and are empowered to witness and service
He fills so I can pour!
It is a life-changing experience

“Be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18)
This is not a one-time experience that is the end of our spiritual quest
We are commanded to be full, and yet we are not the filler, the Spirit is

You realize you’re hungry when you see someone else eating!
Fear must be overcome to receive the baptism of the Spirit

11. Luke 11:10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
