All residents of Bosch, Frisch, or Dugan are required to purchase a Griff plan for the fall and spring semesters.
Freshmen may choose The Griffin A, B, or C
All others may choose The Griffin A, B, or C, Ultimate, Supreme, or Mega Block.
All other residents and commuter students may choose any Griff Plan
Griff Plan enrollment and changes are allowed only through the first week of each semester.

4. Meal Plan Vocabulary Griff Bucks – Griff Choice –
Griff Bucks can be used for meal purchases at any Dinning location on campus and for food purchases in excess of the Griff Plan.
Griff Bucks are provided with all Griff Plans each semester, and additional Griff Bucks may be purchased at any time with a minimum deposit of $25.
Griff Bucks will carry over from the fall to the spring semester. Any unused Griff Bucks remaining at the end of the spring semester are forfeited.
Griff Choice –
All Griff Plans come with $25 in Griff Choice
Griff Choice can be used throughout the entire year and is accepted as cash at the bookstore, all Dine On Campus locations, printing & vending machines with Griff Pass readers and off campus at participating locations.
Funds will carry over from year to year.
Griff Choice offer more flexibility

5. Meal Plan Vocabulary Cont.
One meal block is required to enter “All-you-care- to-eat-meals” breakfast, dinner, and weekend brunch in the Dining Hall.
For lunch, pricing is a la carte: students will use a second Meal Block or Griff Bucks for items that exceed the dollar value of 1 Meal ($6.00)
Students may use a second Meal to purchase a meal for a fellow student or visitor.
Each Meal has a set dollar equivalency of $4.25 for Breakfast, $6.00 for Lunch, and $6.75 for Dinner.
Meals cannot be used at Tim Hortons or Subway. However, Griff Bucks and Griff Choice dollars are accepted in these locations.

6. How to purchase a meal plan

Start by going to my.canisius.edu
Look under All Applications & Services on the left
Under Financial Services you will see an option called ‘Meal Plan/Griff Bucks/Griff Choice’
This will allow you to manage your meal plan
In Person

7. Griff Pass (Student ID card)
To use your Griff Plan, swipe your Griff Pass at any Dine On Campus location. Griff Plans cannot be accessed without your Griff Pass.
Your Griff Pass is your Griff Bucks debit card. Use it anytime, including between-meal or late night snacks on campus.
Your Griff Pass is also your Griff Choice debit card. It can be used on campus at vending & copy machines, the bookstore, computer lab and any Dine On Campus location, and off campus at participating merchants.
