What is the 4th Amendment
Guarantees freedom from unreasonable search and seizure. Law enforcement needs probable cause or a warran Exclusionary rule

New Jersey v. T.L.O., 1985 Female student was searched at school. They found cigarettes, rolling papers, marijuana, and pipes. They searched her after they found her smoking in the bathroom. The issue was if this warrant less search violate the 4th amendment.

Supreme Court Decision
They said that schools need the keep a safe environment. So teachers do not need a warrant, only have reasonable suspicion to search student. Which is lower than than probable cause.
