7 Bay of Pigs Invasion US sponsored rebels invaded Cuba to overthrow Fidel Castro from ruling Cuba. Unsuccessful attempt – embarrassment to the Presidency – John F. Kennedy (JFK) Castro was afraid of another invasion – agreement with USSR, to allow Soviet Missiles in Cuba.
