Mission
Maximize consumer confidence and acceptance of beef by focusing producers’ attention to daily production practices that influence the safety, wholesomeness, and quality of beef and beef products through the use of science, research and educational initiatives

Cooperative educational effort of Oklahoma Beef Council and OSU Extension
Certification program for producers can be done on-line at BQA.org
Cow/calf
Stocker
Feedyard
Dairy
Transportation – new certification area – online or in-person
In person training by attending an educational program
Educational presentation followed by certification test

4. In-person training Training session 1- 1 ½ hrs.
Conducted by BQA Certified Trainers
State and Area Specialists, some County Educators, Noble Institute
Educational presentation (PowerPoint)
Allow at least 45 minutes (depends on presentation used and audience)
Test 20 questions
BQA card will be mailed from Oklahoma Beef Council

National program is transitioning to three year certification

Tyson has required certification
