Article 65: «1 The federal authorities shall obtain the necessary statistical data concerning the current status and changes in the population, the economy, society, spatial development and the environment in Switzerland. 2 They shall be authorized to issue regulations with regard to the harmonization and management of official registers with a view to minimizing the work needed for obtaining such information.»

Unpublished results will be made available in ways appropriate for further re-use.

One year later: how things stand
IMAODBC The Hague 09/05 One year later: how things stand Publishing processes are much faster. Central web services now focus on the conceptual aspects and assist the authors in creating user-friendly structures and content. Outstanding improvements in the quality of web content: consistent navigation and layout lead to a clear communication structure. Content has been widely extended Decentralized editorial responsabilities lead authors and product managers to take charge for their own content Data flows not yet optimal: introduction of centralized data warehouse will improve content delivery.
