Fox Class News 7.1.19 Happy New Year!
It is lovely to be back and to see all the children again, I’d like to thank Mr Wheeler and Mrs Temple-Nidd and especially Mrs Allen for keeping everything ticking along so well. We welcome Poppy, Ronnie, Rosa, Isla, Jessica, Emma, Bella, Isabella and Harley into our Nursery. We hope you all settle in very quickly, I’m sure you’ll soon make lots of friends and have lots of fun! Our topic this term in Reception is Superheroes! The children have already been enjoying the Superhero Headquarters and dressing up in the capes and masks. This week we will be creating our own superhero and writing what ‘super power’ they have. We will also be going on a number hunt around Long Melford spotting numbers within the environment. This week on your way to school perhaps you could see if you can spot some numbers – where can you spot them? Please take some photos and post onto Tapestry for us to share. Mrs Temple-Nidd will be restarting our library visits to Long Melford library every fortnight on a Friday afternoon from this week If you are free to help please let one of the Reception team know. It will be from 1pm – many thanks. In Nursery we will be settling in next week and getting back into the nursery routine. We have a builder’s site in our outside area which the children can access throughout the day. We will also be following their interests to form our planning for the following week. Please can I remind all parents that children can bring in a water bottle each day which will be available for them throughout the day. Please, water only. Tuesdays and Fridays is our PE time in Reception, if your child wears earrings please ensure they are removed on these days. Many thanks, Mrs Graham and the Early Years Team Diary dates: Friday 11th Jan Reception visiting Long Melford library pm
