OTHER POINTS TO MENTION:
“College” means any type of training received after graduating high school. This can mean anything from a certificate program, technical school, junior college, university, etc. There is a wide variety of programs available., many of which accept financial aid. If you are interested in joining the military and need help contacting a recruiter, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help. Historically, the army and navy visit our campus of a regular basis during lunchtime.
10
OTHER POINTS TO MENTION:
Apply Texas opens up July 1st. Many of the major universities have a deadline of December 1st for applications. Do not wait until the last minute!! College admissions are first come, first serve! Colleges depend on essays to get to know the character of a student. Don’t waste time and effort by writing about things that they will know based off of other portions of the application (grades, awards, etc.). And “Optional” essays are not really optional! Choosing to not complete these essays can reflect poorly.
11
OTHER POINTS TO MENTION:
There is a shot required upon enrolling in college. If you meet the requirements, out nurse can give you the shot free of charge. Otherwise you’ll need to make arrangements to have that before you’ll be allowed to register for classes.
