3. Epic Reports: Department Appointments and Staff Daily Report
Epic reports enable users to view patient appointment information for specific departments, dates and providers.
To view, select the report by clicking on the icon on the toolbar or use the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+4 for the Department Appointments Report, Ctrl+5 for Staff Daily Report.

4. Epic Reports: Department Appointments and Staff Daily Report
Epic reports may default to your service area or you may see the “Settings” screen. Select your service area from the “PUBLIC” report list and click on “Run” to view the report.
The ability to select other service areas is based on security.

5. Epic Reports: Department Appointments Report (DAR)
The Department Appointments report (also called the DAR) shows the appointments scheduled for the departments/providers/dates specified in its report settings.
This report is highly customizable but has been permanently set by I.S. for View Only access; depending on your system setup, you may see different columns or columns in a different order than shown here. Click the “More” button to see additional options.

6. Epic Reports: Department Appointments Report (DAR)
For View Only access, many of the Activity Toolbar icons will be unavailable, (i.e. if you click on it, you will receive a message that you do not have access).
Key columns on the DAR can include: Date, time of appointment, medical record number, patient/provider name, type of appointment, length of appointment, appointment notes and telephone number.

7. Epic Reports: Department Appointments Report (DAR)
You can view specific patient information by double clicking on the appointment slot to “Expand” it. This window provides patient demographic information and appointment information including the name of who made the appointment, confirmed, cancelled, or checked In/Out the patient.

Not all functions are available in View Only; if you attempt to access a feature which has not been set, the following message appears.

9. Epic Reports: Staff Daily Report (SDS)
The Staff Daily Report can be utilized by the clinical staff to view appointments based on the provider’s schedule. You can view only one provider at a time.

10. Epic Reports: Staff Daily Report (SDS)
To select another provider, click on the drop down arrow at the end of the provider field and click on the provider’s name.

11. Epic Reports: Staff Daily Report (SDS)
To print either the DAR or SDS, you can click on the “PRINT” option on the toolbar or press “Ctrl+P”.
