Objective: I will be able to model one-step equations using algebra tiles So that I can then solve equations algebraically using inverse operations. I will also check to determine if the solutions make the equations true. I will show that I understood it by successfully completing at least 8 out of 10 algebraic problems using train-tracks independently or with my partner EE.B.7

Language Objective By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the language domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing. They will listen to and verbally communicate with their partners how to find the solution to one-step multiplication or division equations by using algebra tiles. They will also discuss how to solve equations algebraically using inverse operations and check to determine if the solutions make the equations true. They will show their understanding by successfully completing at least 8 out of 10 algebraic problems independently or with their partner. Academic Math Language Vocabulary: algebra tile, equation, One-step equation, algebraic solution, inverse, inverse operation, train-track.

Take your rough draft from yesterday and have your partner peer edit.
After peer editing, you will write the FINAL DRAFT on the RIGHT SIDE of your journal. Make sure you followed A.E.E. Answer, Explain and Evidence. Use the rubric on the inside front cover to see if you have completed all parts to earn a 4.
