Compression When a FORCE pushes on an object, the object is under compression Objects under compression tend to deform in shape Like a soccer ball when you kick it. HUH? What does this mean?

The Particle Model can Explain…
REMEMBER.. There is much more space between particles in the gas than between those in the liquid SOOO… when a force is applied to the particles, the gas has more space to “squish” and compress.

Incompressible… Materials in a liquid state can be compressed very little if at all ALL LIQUIDS ARE SAID TO BE INCOMPRESSIBLE (they cannot be compressed easily)
