- by activity (NACE classification) - by cross tabulation between occupation & activity (ISCO x NACE)
3

Cultural Employment new method using cross tabulation between Nace and Isco dimensions
7
Main objectives of the study
- follow-up of previous studies - investigation on members countries actually detailing results in LFS-2002 - inclusion of accessing & EFTA countries - the definition of a new method to produce a set of results by country
8
The previous approach (on LFS-1999)
- cross tabulation technique activity x occupation activity : Nace2 occupation : Isco3 - « min-max » technique
9
The new approach - cross tabulation technique activity x occupation
- a unique estimate : amalgamation of all workers engaged in the production of cultural products & services professionals and specialists in culture engaged in all companies - 17 countries are in Nace 3 or Isco 4 in LFS-2002
10
The new approach Ex : Cross between Nace 22 and Isco 410 1st method
Min : 0 % , Max : 100 % 2nd method r = 36 % calculated by ratio of Nace221 x Isco410 in Nace 22 x Isco410
11
The new approach Cross between Nace 75 and Isco 347 1st method
Min : 0 % , Max : 100 % 2nd method r = 47 % calculated by ratio of Nace75 Isco / Nace75 Isco 347
