A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to direct instruction at students’ reading levels.
-In Math we will finish up our shape and time unit. On Wednesday we will begin our final module in first grade! We will practice place value and problem solving with numbers up to 100.
-Writing time this week will continue with Poetry. We will focus on comparing objects and using metaphors and similes to compare.
-Our Core Knowledge time will switch back to Science as we begin a study on the Earth. This week we will focus on the layers of the Earth as well as volcanoes and Geysers.

-Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - reading homework
-Tuesdays and Thursdays - math homework
