Data and Analytics Breakout
Atlanta | June 1
2
The Challenge LDC Data and Analytics Theory of Action:
If the LDC community visualizes leading progress indicators then the community will shift behaviors or resources to improve the trajectory of their LDC implementations. The Challenge: Determining and capturing leading indicators of quality
3
Data and Analytics Guiding Assumptions LDC data supports collaborative LDC implementations focused on improving student outcomes. LDC data use rigorously follows LDC and other relevant data policies The LDC community practices responsible data use.

Input Mechanisms Community anecdotes and stories
Data and Analytics Input Mechanisms Community anecdotes and stories Community meetings, training sessions and demonstration days Deep dive tours (e.g., CO and AR) LDC I3 grant locations: NY and LAUSD CoreTools analysis of districts/partners with rated curricula
8
Current Data and Analytics Hypothesis
(necessary but not sufficient indicators of progress) If teachers Review rated curricula Consume LDC PD content Create modules Receive formative feedback Then teachers will: Produce rated curricula Impact: Task quality predicts student performance [Elmore, 2008]
9
Data and Analytics Validation Studies Does formative feedback and PD consumption lead to rated curricula? Correlation to rated curricula, Summer 2016 Correlation to student outcomes Planned Fall 2016 Who: Horatio Blackman University of Pennsylvania

Implementation Report Data and Analytics
Q: Who uses the Implementation Report? A: District, School and Partner leaders who can change the trajectory of the LDC implementation? Q: When will this report be used: A: This data is during the implementation, don’t wait until end of the school year to assess your implementation?

LDC Implementation Report
Data and Analytics LDC Implementation Report Report Purpose An LDC implementation leader sees aggregate data for each of the schools/districts that they support as reflected by teacher progress in LDC Courses and CoreTools usage. Notes: Updated version of current Endorsed Partner Admin report currently available. Available to: Endorsed Partners Districts/School who purchase Teacher Learning Kit.
12
Data and Analytics Does this data enable different/responsible conversations with district leaders and teachers? Suggestions and feedback regarding our data approach for implementations? Thoughts?
