Why Meet? After the Intolerable Acts were passed, Colonists decided to do something about it (Remember, the Intolerable Acts were aimed towards Boston ONLY) Many other cities and colonies sent food to Boston Other colonies, namely Virginia, called for a congress, AKA a meeting Goals of the congress: find a peaceful resolution with Great Britain Some colonies did not agree: many were loyalists, loyal to:_____?

Results Congress drafted a letter to King George, listing their grievances (their complaints) Delegates also called for a new boycott of British goods Delegates also decided that if this did not work, they would meet again in May of the next year, 1775
