Annapurna secures her food and shelter Puvvala Chandramma belongs to S.T (Jatapu), single women of Marriguda Village of Biyyalavalasa Panchayat in Kurupam Mandal, Vizianagaram Dist. Andhra Pradesh. She is a member in Mutyalamma Mahila Sangam. Her husband died in She was shelter less and landless. So she was sheltered by her parents. She has no children. Her parents have 1.5 acres of dry rocky land. After few years she also lost her parents. She was cultivating 1.5 acres dry land but she hasn’t got much returns. So she got credits from I.K.P 2 times. In the 1st dose she got Rs 4000/- and invested for sheep rearing. In one year duration she settled hand loans and group credits. She applied for second dose and bought 2bullocks and started farming. She was raising sesame, Ragi and horsegram crops and earn only Rs 4588/- she was not satisfied with the returns. While attending the Gramasabha held in Marriguda she came to know about MKSP – SERP – Annapurna crop model, She got 3day training in Sept 2013, and start work with colleague beneficiaries as a group work and prepared soil beds, furrows and trenches and Planted core plants like mango, sapota, guava, pomegranate, Orange, lemon, Drumstic etc… in the East west direction. She was married in age of 18 years. She was blessed with 5 daughters. Her husband Puvvala Dannu cultivating 2 ½ of acres of Dry land. Her all children studying in different schools her elder daughter studying B.A in Parvathipuram. It is very difficult to provide nutritional food to their family. She is a member in SHG and got information about Annapurna model of Agriculture and started work. She was carrying water from nearby Stream in hard summer in hours together. Now she got oil engine and get water easily. She sharing her experiences with CRPS and telling that she has much time spend in Annapurna model of Agriculture. She started land preparation works in Aug – 13. After completion of trenching, bedding etc… sowings started in Sept – 13. She is getting income October onwards. She stated that before implementation of Annapurna Agricultural practices she suffered from iron deficiency and malnutrion.
