[New] Ways of Seeing: Religion through Narrated Photographs
FINAL PROJECT IN PHILOPE and INTFILO

PROCEDURE Students photograph what is personally significant to them and then to narrate the image using guide questions. Subjects are within DLSU. Students take 2 photos per subject, of 2 subjects maximum. For the final output, students choose 1 photo of 1 subject.

GUIDE QUESTIONS (i) What is the meaning of religion to you? If you were to describe it, what are the essential parts of “religion”?, (ii) Can this concept be applied to living and non-living things? If it can, why do you say so?, (iii) Is it anything of value to you? How will you describe its value?, (iv) Is it something hidden or manifested? If manifested, what are its manifestations?, and, (v) What made you think that these manifestations are proper to “religion’?

For Today’s activity Go around DLSU campus and try seeing things as if for the first time. What took your attention? Describe what it feels like to see it as if for the first time even though you might have seen it before? On a piece paper, write down your reflection and illustration of what you saw. Submit your work to me at the end of class or late in the afternoon before 4 PM at the Philosophy Department.
