12 Paper Cups
40 Wooden Chopsticks
3 Rolls of Clear Tape

5. Tower of Power Scoring SCORE = h*(n + 1)
h: height of the tower in inches
n: number of books the tower supports, up to 6

6. Tower of Power Judging Process Maximum of 6 books
Must support each book for 3 seconds
Each book is heavier than the previous
Teams stack books themselves
Other members cannot hold onto tower

Tips
Quality of construction has a large impact on the strength of the tower.
Remember that you have 12 people but only 45 minutes, so choose a design with that in mind.
Split team to specialize on part of tower

9. Important! Tower of Power
You must be able to carry tower to the stage.
Tower must be flat on top so books can be stacked.

11. Additional Instructions
Send up 1 TA or helper from your team to pick up your materials.
At the end of 45 minutes, bring your tower to the atrium.

We will judge 3 teams at a time, in alphabetical order.
Each team should send up 2 representatives
