What are cells? Cells are the basic units of life
There is no living thing smaller They are the building blocks of ALL living things They are TINY

Microscopes We use MICROSCOPES to look CLOSELY at cells What do each of these photos have in common?

Microscopes Cells are far too small to see with our naked eye
We can use MICROSCOPES to MAGNIFY the cell so we can see all the different parts of it

The eyepiece lens The part of the microscope we look through- it usually has a magnification of x10

The objective lenses Different lenses with different magnifications to allow us to look closer (zoom) at our slides
