Professor Judith Mank Chair of Evolutionary and Comparative Biology, University College London
Professor Mank is interested in understanding how selection produces variation in form, behaviour and reproductive patterns. Using a variety of animals, her research group takes advantage of convergence, artificial selection and sexual selection to study the genotype-phenotype relationship.
The group integrate data from genomes, transcriptomes and organisms to study the ways that selection navigates the restrictions imposed by evolutionary constraints and conflicts to create phenotypic diversity.
