What not to Wear Middle School Dress Code

2 Contrary to the Rumors Dress code was not created to make Life difficult. The middle school years are tough and everyone develops at different paces. What looks just fine on one person may push the envelope on another. Our goal is to make everyone feel comfortable and confident as their bodies begin to change. Starting with Girls. Boys begin on Slide 10.

3 Official Dress Code policy For Girls

4 What to wear What not to wear
Appropriate shirts must be worn. Halter-tops, spaghetti straps and athletic t-shirts are not permitted. No bare skin may be exposed at the waist, bust, back or abdomen at any time, including when arms are raised. What to wear What not to wear No Words Undergarments cannot be visable. 5 Pants What to Wear What not to wear Only on Friday

6 Knee Length Rule All Skirts and Shorts must be to the top of the kneecap (in both the front and the back. Many “flowy” skirts that hit the knee in the front, ride up on the behind in the back. When you add a backpack into that equation it can become quite a show. When in doubt, wear leggings.

8 Forbidden footwear All footwear must have some type of strap around the ankle.

9 Hair Styles No color streaking or unnatural hair color allowed.

13 All pants must be worn with a belt

14 All Shirts must be tucked in

15 Shoes and Socks Socks must be worn and shoes must be tied

16 Hairstyles Must be above ears Must be shaven YES Not Permitted NO

17 NO Piercings – Ears or Face

18 Dress Code expectations must be followed under all Jackets, Hoodies, or overcoats.

20 Full Participation in Spirit Days expected!!!
