Classic Homepage

Classic Navigation Classic navigation involves drilling down into file structure from the top level. Drawbacks include getting lost on the wrong path, or losing the path if you mouse falls off the navigation. Also, visually ‘messy’ (but you can see the path). One thing that’s missed is ‘breadcrumbs’—we chose to turn off with Fluid Navigation.

Fluid Navigation Fluid navigation: customizable by user (reorder and add/delete tiles), cleaner UI, less likely to used as the primary mode of getting to a page (at least those that are frequently visited).

Fluid Homepages and Tiles
Intermountain Homepage Fluid homepages—users can have multiple homepages, which are a collection of tiles grouped by module or common tasks. We created a default ‘Intermountain Homepage’ that all users would initially land on when signing into PeopleSoft. From there, we had links to common tasks, other module homepages, and training documentation. ePro Hompage was designed as a one-stop shop for requisitioners with all the links and tools they would need in the requisitioning process, including reports and training. Fluid homepages are more customizeable by users—they can customize the delivered ones or create their own.
