9 Arrival and Dismissal #BulldogPride Arrival
Main Campus – Grades 2-5 doors open at 7:45 am; Instruction begins at 8:00am. Grades K-1 doors open at 8:15 am; Instruction begins at 8:30am.   Middle Campus - Classrooms open at 8:00 am; Instruction begins at 8:15am Students arriving to school past 8:00am (2-5), 8:15am, (6-8) or 8:30am (k-1) must stop at the main office accompanied by an adult to receive a tardy pass. Dismissal  K-1 students dismiss at 2:30pm everyday 2-5 students dismiss at 3:00 pm on M, T, Th, and F; 2:00 on Wednesdays.6-8 students dismiss at 3:15 pm on M, T, Th, and F; 2:15 pm on Wednesdays.  Parents Please:  Do not leave cars parked and unattended in the pickup line Park in the gravel parking lot and walk to pick up child  Use ONLY acceptable exit during dismissal is the south exit on 107th ave. Reminders Right lane - pick up; Left lane – thru lane for exit from building. K-2 - dismiss from covered walkway 3rd – 5th  - dismiss from the basketball court ALL children are to be released by their teacher Arrival and Dismissal

August 20 - October 25, 2018 Second Grading Period October 29 - January 17, 2019 Third Grading Period January 22 – March 22, 2019 Fourth Grading Period April 1– June 6,  2019 #BulldogPride Grading Periods **Please note that Middle School does not follow the early release schedule found on MDCPS calendars.

#BulldogPride Grade Verbal Interpretation Indicators 1 The student consistently works to the best of his/her ability. Completed all tasks. Tried a task again in order to improve the results. Consistently attends to assigned tasks until completed and generally exerts maximum effort on all tasks. The student works to the best of his/her ability. 2 The student's effort is satisfactory. All work is approached with an appropriate degree of seriousness. The student usually finishes assignments on time and usually stays on task. The student usually works at a level commensurate with his/her ability. 3 shows insufficient effort. Little attention is paid to completing assignments well and/or on time or to completing them in a manner commensurate with the student's ability. 15 #BulldogPride All parents should sign up as a school volunteer on the MDCPS Parent Portal. Suggested PAVE participation is 20 hours per family. Parents may complete hours by participating in any of the following activities: Assisting the teacher Guest speaking/presenting Chaperoning field trips Assisting at Special Events Donating to the teacher’s wish list PAVE Hours

16 Assistance for Classroom Teachers
#BulldogPride ACT The ACT fund is an on-going effort to provide the highest education standards for our students. The ACT Fund provides the opportunity for both parents and the school to hep provide teachers assistance in the classroom. Your generous support equals assistants in the classroom. Teacher Assistants provide instructional assistance and support to the teachers and students in an effort to maximize academic success through personalized and smaller group settings. Donation Levels: $150 per family – 5 PAVE hours will be given $300 per family – 15 PAVE hours will be given) Assistance for Classroom Teachers
