miRNA expression patterns in stools from healthy subjects. A, miRNA array was done on stools and normal colonic mucosa tissues. The heat map illustrates the similarities and differences in mean miRNA expression profiles. B, miRNA expression levels in stool samples showed excellent reproducibility among independent extractions. Raw (C) and normalized (D) interindividual variations of miRNA expression measured in the stool samples of eight healthy subjects (normalization was done using the standard ΔΔCt method). E, stool samples collected at different time points showed significant correlation between miRNA expression patterns.
