Fig 1 Pulse field gel electrophoresis patterns of Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates. Each vertical lane (lanes 2–17) contains one bacterial isolate of P aeruginosa. Lane 1 is the lambda ladder control marker. Lanes 2–4 represent P aeruginosa control strains, that is, isolates from patients that do not have a ventricular assist device.
