7 State and Territory Breakdown of Airbags needing Replacement
Data published by ACCC, 2Aug2018

8 Challenges Non-responding Owners Ignoring 6 letters/SMS/Emails
Requiring further effort by OEM to facilitate repair Accurate customer names and addresses Government data (NEVDIS) is inaccurate. State and Territory Registration Authority data requires additional effort. “Lost” Vehicles Not registered, but not written-off “Grey” Imports – responsibility of the importer Exported….we found an Australian Saab in Ireland!

9 Considerations Fleets
- Does my fleet contain vehicles with affected Takata inflators? Are they under active or future recall? If under active recall, am I responding to the recall notices and enabling repair of vehicles as soon as possible? What about “grey fleets”? Insurance Are all vehicles in my “possession” correctly registered/written-off? Are ownership details promptly communicated to registration authorities? Can an OEM find a vehicle if needed? (how?)
