Decide on innovative programming that is a high interest for students Health Information Technician Histology Techician GOAL 2 Programming needs to result in jobs that will be in demand in the future Last updated: November 1, 2018: Average in Houston, TX, $47,679 per year 6% Above national average Average total compensation for the job of Histology Technician in Houston, TX. The base salary for Histology Technician ranges from $52,386 to $65,191 with the average base salary of $59,197. GOAL 3 Programming needs to not duplicate an existing program in FBISD Will only be offered at Hightower High School 100% open enrollment Houston Area Industries Health Care Delivery Medical Research High wage, High Demand Health Care 1,892,000 jobs in 2024 Dr. Sanders

P-TECH AT HIGHTOWER HS FEEDBACK STRUCTURE OF PROGRAM
School within a school model Student cohorted beginning Freshman year Partnership with industry supporting, shadowing, mentorship and apprenticeship BENEFIT TO STUDENTS Associates degree in applied sciences Industry certifications Real-world work experience FEEDBACK P-Tech will provide a financial value to families who may not see college as an option. Students will be college and work force ready. P-Tech will provide real life experiences.
