Ms. Ronda's heart’s desire is for children to fall in love with reading, writing & the fine arts.
She has written a chapter series, Down on Friendly Acres, about her life growing up on Friendly Acres in Ohio in the 60s.
These books are packed full of valuable life lessons on forgiveness, patience, kindness, perseverance, honesty and trustworthiness.
She has best been described as Little House on the Prairie meets Green Acres with over 200,000 copies having been sold.

Different men in the community will be visiting our school throughout the year to share their love of reading.
Several men recently were videoed reading chapters from Hats Off to Heroes.
Each day, we will view the reading of this book!

You and your family are invited to attend!
Monday, November 19th
5:00-5:45 refreshments will be served in the cafeteria
(hotdogs, chips, cookies, and a drink)
6:00-6:45 Guest Author, Ronda Friend will do an entertaining presentation which will include students singing a song they learned in music class
6:45-7:00 Drawing for door prizes.
7:00 Conclusion with students getting a take-home packet. Students who return their packet by the specified date will be entered into a drawing for additional prizes. Also, the winner from each grade will receive a $15 gift card.
