King Midas Cameron Callaham

The Story of Kind Midas In my opinion, King Midas is the best Greek Myth. It is very interesting and teaches a moral. Let me explain my thinking.

In the beginning. . . I like King Midas because he is a greedy selfish king in the beginning of the story. He loves gold and can’t get enough of it. Even one billion pieces of gold isn’t enough for him.

In the middle. . . As the plot continues, we find out that King Midas gets the Midas touch. This means that everything he touches turns to gold. But when Midas’s golden touch gets in the way of family, eating, and drinking, Midas begs the Gods to reverse the spell. The climax of the story is when he touches his daughter and she turns to gold in front of him. Midas really loves his daughter. So, he begs the Gods to reverse the spell.

The lesson in the end. . . Finally King Midas learns his lesson: being the richest isn’t the best. King Midas is a dynamic character. He changes in the end and learns his lesson: Don’t be greedy!

In conclusion. . . As you can see, King Midas is greedy at first, but then is caring at the end. This shows that he is a dynamic character. This is the most important reason why I like this myth the best. I think it is very important to learn lessons in life. This is why I like King Midas.
