3 FEMA Grant Award-2018. $75,000 FEMA Funding
FEMA Grant Award * $75,000 FEMA Funding * $25,000 Miles City Matching Funds (includes in-kind match) $100,000 Total Project Cost Purpose: Completion of a Storm Water Management Plan that will help the Miles City community with internal drainage needs. Timeline: Work to begin in early 2019 and will be completed within 1 year Outcomes include: Participation of agencies, stakeholders and the public Hazard identification and risk/vulnerability assessment Identification of mitigation strategies – ability to identify “shovel ready” projects for additional funding Plan Adoption Plan Maintenance

4 Scope Collect and analyze data
Survey cross-section at key points Build existing conditions model Identify significant deficiencies with Tongue River Slough Restrictions causing flooding / backwater (Culverts undersized or lacking at road crossings) Lack of Storm water storage capacity (Slough needs cleaning) Inability to discharge when outfalls are submerged

5 Scope Analyze various alternatives to remedy deficiencies
Alternatives could include Upgrading storm drain pipes Increasing capacity of Slough (regrading/cleaning up) Improving culverts at road crossings Adding emergency storage Improving river outfalls Adding storm water pumping systems Draft Storm Water Master Plan and Summary of Findings Public Review and Comment Finalize Storm Water Master Plan
