plunder - (v) to take (property) by force, especially in warfare valor - (n) great courage, especially in battle formidable - (adj) causing fear, awe, or admiration as a result of size, strength, power or some other impressive quality guile - (n) slyness; craftiness; skillful deception (shrewdness) muster - (v) to gather together (as in an army) sustain - (v) keep alive; support prodigious - (adj) huge; enormous victuals - (n) food civility - (n) polite and courteous behavior appall - (v) to shock or horrify brute – (adj) having no consciousness or feelings ponderous - (adj) having great weight or bulk; heavy profusion (n) – plentiful amount; abundance carrion – (adj) rotten, filthy embark – (v) get on board beguile - (v) to lead by deception ardor - (n) passion; intensity of emotion; enthusiasm dwindle - (v) to gradually lessen; diminish tumult - (n) commotion; uproar peril - (n) danger; risk; something that may cause injury or destruction
