3 Crops Now that spring has arrived, the farmer is planting his crops
Crops Now that spring has arrived, the farmer is planting his crops. The farmer did not have a good crop this year due to the weather.

4 Crops Plants grown for food or to sell to make money

5 Decorated They passed the Church of the Solid Rock with high windows all decorated and pretty. The wedding reception hall looked lovely, decorated with twinkling lights and pretty flowers.

6 Decorated Made beautiful by adding fancy things and frills

7 Mound The catcher walked toward the pitcher’s mound, a slightly raised area of ground on a baseball field. The children were playing on a dirt mound in the middle of the lot.

8 Mound Small hill or pile of dirt,rocks, or other material

9 Vacant The warehouse looked as though it had been vacant for years.
There was a vacant lot between two house on my street.

10 Vacant Empty; abandoned

11 Patch A large empty patch stood out from the full green lawn.
I ripped my jeans, so my mom put a patch on the hole.

12 Patch An area different from what is around it
