Faith links to truth because some people need to believe something is true before they will put their faith into it.
Religious Truth, according to Christians, can be found in the Bible. Early Catholics would have said that “let there be light and there was light”( – Genesis) is an example of how humans know that God is all powerful (omnipotent) as he created the universe and everything in it in six twenty four hour days. Modern Catholics might dispute this religious truth as the Pope said that “God is not a being with a magic wan”. We should ignore the whimsical narrative provided by Genesis in favour for the Big Bang Theory. In this way all Christians agree that God created the world and that is the religious truth.
Historical truth is what has come before. People know about the past through looking at artefacts and through historical interpretation people have faith in what existed before them.
Scientific truth is acquired through testing and observation. Unlike Religious truth, scientific truth remains as theories that are tested on and updated as new information is known.
