Hestia Hestia is a Greek goddesses of the home (Lindemans).
She is a sister of Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, and Hades (Lindemans). . She is known to be patient and caring (“Hestia”). She is one of the few Greek gods who behaves well (“Hestia”).

Hestia Her symbol is the flame (Lindemans).
Hestia was never married (“Hestia”). She never had any kids (“Hestia”). Poseidon proposed to her but she refused him (Lindemans). Her Roman name is Vesta (Lindemans).

Bes Bes was the god of home and family in Egypt (Hill).
He was also a god of war (Hill). He was a dwarf (Hill). Bes was known to be a fierce warrior (Seawright). He protected mothers and newborn children (Seawright).

Bes There were no temples to Bes in Egypt (Hill).
According to Jenny Hill at Ancient Egypt Online, “Over time he came to be seen as the champion of everything good and the enemy of everything evil.” He would dance and shake a rattle to scare away evil spirits during childbirth (Hill).
