1 Job A player has only 1 job.
It is the coach’s job to teach the player where to go, when to go, what to do before, during and after he goes. The most important job that the player has is to go, with as much effort as his heart can possibly summon from his body.
3
Reason for our discussion
Offense bases out of a 2 back Set We will add H and Gun to make things Multiple Offense revolves around our O-Line Our Thought Process is at times out talented but never out toughed Build Toughness in Off-Season (15 min / Day) Bring the pain Wed / Competition Thursday
4
Coaching Philosophy Toughness is incorporated in every drill
Fundamentals drilled daily / Get better! Best on Best Period 3 Days per Week As many 1 way players as possible – we are not a two platoon team but try to.
5
Offensive Philosophy As much diversity with 4 major Blocking Schemes(75%) Toss / Veer / Lead-G / Power Cluster Play action off all (Similar to Zone Philosophy) Other 25% comes from Play action and Sprint out Use 3 step game to control perimeter Assess how Fast, Smart, and Tough the other team is (Toss, Veer, and Lead/G and Power, not necessarily in that order)
6
Changes in 2012 Center/ Speed allowed positive change
H Gave us more of a Balanced set Moved to Quicker line (Guards) averaged 5’ (6’5 275 biggest) Gun more time for undersized line Special athlete wanted to get about 10 or more touches to, weren’t going to throw more. Have added a new position to Depth Chart
