5. Sun Notes: Chromosphere – Lowest level of the Suns atmosphere.
Core – Area where nuclear fusion is taking place.
Radiation Zone – Where energy is transferred from the core to the convection zone.
Convection Zone – the subsurface zone which brings hot material from the center of the Sun to the surface.
Photosphere – the visible surface of the Sun. (Sunspots)
Corona – Outermost atmosphere of the Sun. Visible during Solar Eclipses.
