4. Chapter 30
Atticus and Heck Tate argue while Scout sits with Boo Radley … “Mr. Arthur” … on the front porch swing (Was this event foreshadowed?)

6. Chapter 30, Continued
Heck insists the death was an accident, but Atticus, thinking that Jem killed Bob Ewell, doesn’t want his son protected from the law (all about that fairness.)
Heck says that Ewell fell on his knife; Jem didn’t kill him (he knows Radley stabbed him, though)
Heck doesn’t want Boo Radley to be persecuted by the neighborhood anymore than he already is.
