TEENAGERS AND THEIR SURROUNDINGS
2
What is adolescence? Adolescence is a very hard time in the life of each individual. Being a teenager causes various changes. You’re half way through your childhood and half way to becoming an adult. Young people copy the fashion of the moment because they want to imitate the style of their favorite celebrity. Teenagers are always competing with their parents.

Adolescence and bullying
We students of the 3° of the secondary school of Roccascalegna and Gessopalena have been very interested in adolescence. We’ve seen many documentaries and films, read many articles and some books about adolescence. We have realized a folder about the various ways teenagers communicate, about their love, fashion, music, games, friendship and entertainment. At the end we have concentrated on a serious problem that affects many teenagers: bullying and cyber-bullying. We have produced a poster with slogans and designs to help people understand bullying. We have learned that many teenagers are included in bulling, at all ages. There are three main forms of bulling: physical, verbal and cyber-bulling.

Some children become bullies because they have difficult family conditions and don’t receive as much attention at home, use drugs, drink or have mental health problems such as anxiety, hostility or depression. Bullying is usually directed towards particular victims because of their religion, race, gender or sexuality. How can we notice that someone is being bullied? If you notice that someone is losing money or valuable possessions, if their clothes are dirty or torn, if they’re scared of going to school or have trouble concentrating, he or she might be a victim of bullying.

If you are being bullied, you should tell someone you trust; you shouldn’t be afraid of confronting your bully. Remember: he’s the weak one, not you! stop bullying!!!!!!
