Who decides? When a conflict occurs about use of an OE a decision has to be made (Bastion perhaps a good example where a long time for a decision to be made) If conflict is over Crown land (ie government or public land) the decision is the responsibility of the organisation or authority who manages that land (eg Bastion Point, East Gippsland Shire)

Specifically mentioned in study design so need to know Established under Environment Assessment Council Act 2001…….(statutory body) Role of council is to conduct investigations that are requested by the Victorian Government relating to protection and management of public land.

Does VEAC make decisions? How does the VEAC consult with the community? What are current VEAC investigations?
