2. Project Overview
”A child safety-system that prevents parents and caretakers from accidentally leaving children in vehicles.”
Average number of U.S. child hyperthermia fatalities per year since 1998: 37
41 so far in 2010 alone
Goal is to prevent as many deaths as possible

3. Basic Operational Steps
Determine the current running state of the vehicle via the federally-mandated OBD-II port.
Determine the presence of children in safety-seats wirelessly.
Audibly warn the parent via built-in device speaker when children are present after vehicle shut-off is detected.
Control vehicle features (window, alarm, locks) when available to aid children.
