4 GI BIll African Americans were supposed to have equal opportunity with the GI Bill. Some African Americans couldn’t afford to go to school because the grant couldn’t provide for families. Some students faces discrimination form college admissions boards and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

5 UNCF was created in April 1944
with support from President Roosevelt and John D. Rockerfeller, Jr., the first UNCF campaign made triple of what was expected.
