In sea areas, the extent of changes will vary depending on the area and age of the data (depths decrease even cm and the authorised draught of fairways decreases 0–20 cm), no changes in inland waters
BSCD will be introduced in the nautical charts starting in 2020 with a new hydrographic chart data management and production system
ENC’s and paper charts (all scales) will be published regional based
Starting point of the project is Bay of Bothnia
Expected transition period is 6–8 years
Plan to renew depth data as much as it is possible and reasonable
Cooperation with stakeholders is ongoing
