Children do not mimic everything they see when they have parents who monitor their viewing and hold expectations for their behavior. TV shows and movies are also violent, and are rated, like video games. It is a parent’s responsibility to monitor what the child watches or plays, and discuss with them how to appropriately handle real-life situations.
