Policy Delivery Customer Service

It is important to get all policies delivered within a timely fashion
It is important to get all policies delivered within a timely fashion. As a general rule, policies should be delivered within 14 days from the date the policy was checked in our system.
3
In the event that you are unable to deliver a policy within a 14 day period, you should call the client and let them know their coverage has been issued, then set an appointment with them for delivery, and mail out their I.D card ahead of time.
4
TIP: If you are waiting for a second policy that is taking an abnormally long time to be issued, it is to your advantage to deliver the first policy. If the client becomes disgruntled over the lengthy wait, you will probably lose both cases. However, if you deliver the first policy, the period of time since the client has heard from you regarding the issue of the second policy is measured by the last time they saw you, instead of when you first sold the policy.
5
All policies that you receive will have an agency specific delivery form. It is very important that you collect these delivery forms and get them signed when you deliver the policy.
6
In the event of a cancellation, a company may request verification of the delivery date. We suggest that you save these forms for one year from the date of delivery on ALL Medicare Supplement, Final Expense and Short Term Care Policies. It is your responsibility to save the delivery slips on these policy forms.
7
Delivery slips on all Annuities, Single Premium Life and Long Term Care policies must be turned into J L Smith & Associates. Commissions on these cases will not be credited to your account or paid until you turn the delivery slips in.
