6
Unity Client You can now Scan and Index documents using the Unity Client.
7
Unity Client It’s hard to tell from the menus which option you are on, but the tabs change based on your option selected.

What it does: Requires a Concurrent/Named/Workstation license plus the Unity Client Server license. Since the application stays open even through you “Close Window” it will still hold a Concurrent license. Close Window vs Relaunch Client vs Log out vs Exit OnBase – OnBase stays loaded until you restart your computer or close it from the System Tray Scan & Index More sorting and filtering abilities than OB Client User Management (Lock/Unlock User, Delete User, Reset Password, etc) What it Can’t do: (must log into OB Client to do these) COLD Processing DIP Processing Scheduler Trash Can Physical Records Management None of the OB Client “Admin” options (Logs/Report, Utilities, License Assignment, etc.)

Tips & Tricks Double click to select all Document Types on the retrieval screen does not work. Instead select the first document type, then select the last document type. System will highlight those and all between. When making changes to OnBase Config, Unity Client will not see the changes until a IISReset or IIS Recycle happens on the web server (just like Web Client). NOTE: We set up an IIS Recycle on the web server each morning to handle these types of issues. When doing an IISReset, I did not have to log back into the Unity Client. Since the Unity Client uses the OnBase Web Application to communicate to OnBase, high speed scanning in the Unity Client could put a strain on the system. Opposed to OnBase thick client scanning which does not use the web server.
