2 Institute’s Role Development of new apprenticeship standards and the review of existing standards, including making recommendations to Ministers on the most appropriate funding level. Quality Assurance of both End Point Assessment (EPA) and Endpoint Quality Assurance (EQA). Development and approval of the content of new T Levels, and the procurement and contract management for T levels.

9 Construction Standards
101 construction standards on books 66 are approved for delivery. Includes: Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Painter & Decorator, Architect, Building Service Design Engineer, Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician 35 in development: 18 should be approved for delivery within 4 months 17 are longer-term prospects Ahead of original targets set by Construction Leadership Council year end (50, now 70) Look at occupational map early 2019 – coverage seems good In addition to these 101, aware of a further 7 apprenticeships being thought about

14 T-Level Roll-Out Plan First wave in September 2020:
Education and Childcare, Design, Surveying and Planning from the Construction Route; and Digital Applications, Design and Development, from the Digital Route. Seven further from Decision on the pathways announced 3 Dec. Outline content for future T Levels in 2021, 2022, and 2023 under development. In construction, there will be two further T Levels delivered: Onsite Construction and Building Services Engineering. Outline content for these T Levels has recently been consulted on; this closed on 12 November.

15 Take Aways Significant case for optimism within programme
Construction making good progress with standards generation, but is adaptation to standards quick enough? Is mobilisation significant enough geographically, and with SMEs? What are opporunties in T-Levels? IfA recognises has a part to play
