Context and Timeframe President Dunn signed ACUPCC in July, 2009 Now need a plan to get climate neutral by a target date, means zero net GHG emitted Plan must be final and approved by the end of this calendar year. Although 670 colleges and universities have signed on, we are the only research/doctoral university in Michigan to do so as of today. (GVSU and K are in) President Dunn is a member of the ACUPCC Steering Committee, its chief governing body.

I Introduction A. Lots of material on sustainability efforts at WMU to date. B. Growth projections: Physical Plant is fairly flat in foreseeable future, except for addition of medical school (+2% 2014, +2% 2020?). Modest enrollment increase. C. Target: Climate neutral by 2066 II GHG Emissions Will summarize 2008-09 findings (2 inventories done) New baseline will be 2010-11 fiscal year Will show some recent trends Graphs to illustrate projected reductions, interim targets
